Mick began singing and playing bass and guitar at age 12 and has been doing so ever since.
Mick started singing and playing guitar in high school garage bands, winning talent shows and local battle of the bands and competing in the state finals.
He went on to sing and play bass in bands such as Arizona Maid Band, Rhapsody In Blues, The Heartbeats, American Storm, Southbound, The Village Maid Band, and The 4 Shots.
Over the years Mick has performed throughout New England and New York and currently continues to perform with the Big Deal Rock band.
Bernie has been playing drums most of his life. After high school, he went on the road with a top forty show band gaining some experience but his heart was into rock n roll. He then joined a band called Little Village. Little Village recorded a highly successful album in the New England area. Little Village had shared the stage with Foreigner, Cheap Trick, Doobie Brothers, James Cotton, Fabulous Rhinestones, NRBQ, and many other great bands. Bernie had the privilege of playing with the Doobie Brothers at the New Haven coliseum. “Doobie Brothers fan forever...” After Little Village, he joined the Arizona Maid Band where he met guitar player Victor Cowles and bass player Mick Niewinski. Arizona Maid band was an extremely popular Southern Rock...Kick ass band... “Victor, Mick, Jim Rose and myself are back are together Big Deal Rock ready to kick some more butt. Jim Rose, keyboards and vocals, has been playing professionally for over 40 years.
In that time Jim has played up and down the East Coast and South America with over a dozen bands. Among the bands that he played in were Omega, White Lion, Kangaroo and Lady. Jim has also opened up for such acts as Rick Derringer, The Grass Roots, and Guess Who.
Jim and the members of Big Deal Band have been playing music together for over ten years.
Victor has been performing in the Connecticut club scene since his was 16. Starting off playing in garage bands in high school, he went on to perform with such bands as Foxfire, The Arizona Maid Band, Northern Rhythm, The Derek James Blues Band, Village Maid Band, The Four Shots and many others. Victor was also featured on the WHCN Home Grown and Home Spun albums. He also opened up for NRBQ, Rick Derringer, James Cotton Blues Band, and many top local bands.
